"Didn't like had to walk in rain to toilet. Nothing close Accommodations were okay but alittle damp but to be expected in the rain forest."

Communication with the host was excellent—he went above and beyond by arranging for his dad to check me in at 1 PM, an hour earlier than the standard check-in time. The cabin itself was cozy and well-maintained, and the view was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!"

"We stayed here for 4 nights, it was a bit pricey in my opinion, but it had a stunning view of the hillsides and the volcano (when it wasn't cloud cover). You will need transportation in and out as it's a bit off the beaten path. The Villas are nice and updated on the inside. The bathroom and deck are definitely bigger features in the room as you can sit on the deck and stare out into the lush green fields or you can have a bath doing the same. "i hope people use this hotel as it appears to be a mum and her daughter making a go of it - and though quirky it is an ok experience. What is a problem is - its in the middle of nowhere and expedia sent me the wrong name. You told me it was called (unusually )HOTEL IN FRONT OF LAKE ARENAL. And it was 15 miles from LA FORTUNA. After driving 45 minutes a kindly restaurant owner called the lady and gave me directions. I would still be looking now - its called LAKE 2 and even that is poorly signed....
