"Oceana is very central to everything & being on the 6th floor meant nice views. It was less noisy especially at night being on a higher level. Although the shower cubicle is small, the water pressure is good & always enough hot water. I liked the marble floors which kept me cool. This was important as the AC was off throughout my stay. "Overnight stay in Santa Cruz with my Wife - Hotel beds were terrible - Asked for double-Got singles and mine tipped over in the night sending me sprawling to the floor. Room was uber basic, far too hot and sweaty and the ceiling fan made next to no difference. Had to open all windows and listen to street noise all night to be able to breathe.
