Enjoy exclusive fishing via a private 1-mile trail to the Kern River many miles upstream from any other point accessible to the public, and explore miles of private trails that connect to the vast trail networks within the Monument and the Golden Trout Wilderness. Nearby attractions within 15 to 40 minutes include Seven Teacups, natural waterslides, the Trail of 100 Giants, the George Bush Tree, and the breathtaking Needles, a series of massive granite rock formations that rise dramatically from the North Fork of the Kern River, offering world-class rock climbing.

We are approx 1 hour from the closest grocery store, plan accordingly! The driveway is paved, and there are more dirt roads and trails on the property. Ask your host about ATV, Mountain Bike and Helicopter rental packages!

Peppermint Falls: One of the main attractions near the ranch, Peppermint Falls is a beautiful cascading waterfall that is perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day or a scenic picnic with family and friends. Accessible via 2 private hiking trails (approx 15 min).
Kern River: Renowned for its white-water rafting and kayaking opportunities, the Kern River also offers calmer sections for fishing and tubing. We have an exclusive access point via 45 min trail on the property, for some of the best fishing you'll find on the Kern.
The Needles: This granite spire formation is a popular spot for rock climbing and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding forest. Even if you’re not a climber, the hike to the base of The Needles is worth the effort for the stunning scenery. (visible from the property, but accessible via approx 50 min drive)
Trail of 100 Giants: A must-see trail that features a grove of giant sequoias, including some of the largest trees on earth. This easy, wheelchair-accessible trail is perfect for visitors of all ages and offers numerous photo opportunities. (approx 30 min drive).
Lake Isabella: A short drive away, (approx 1 hour 20 min) Lake Isabella is a haven for water sports enthusiasts. Enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The lake’s shores are ideal for sunbathing, picnicking, and birdwatching.

🌲 Please be aware that the cabin is located in the Sequoia National Forest, where the beauty of the remote natural environment includes the presence of wildlife. You may occasionally see wildlife from a distance or even up close. Potential encounters include birds, squirrels, insects, deer, rabbits, spiders, foxes, bats, bears, snakes, horses, dogs, cats, cows, and various other creatures. As we share their habitat, these animals may be feral, so please act accordingly. Occasionally, a mouse, insect, bird, bat, or other small animals might find its way into the cabin. To minimize this, please keep doors closed, ensure screens are in place and don't leave food out. Thank you.
