"A great location with public transport at the door. A heritage building so not a lot the new managers can do to the overall building however they are actively looking to improve the facilities with recently renovated showers/toilets etc. Free breakfast each day is a bonus (especially with the pancakes - yum!) and lots of mid-week activities to get involved in. "The man who checked us in was amazing and then the rest of the staff after that were not very helpful. The manager was quite rude. We were staying in Melbourne for a national swim meet and my son has special dietary needs, I struggled to be able to cook him a couple of pieces of toast in the morning. The person on the last day of our stay refused, we felt like an inconvenience even though the place was almost empty. The rooms were awesome but the rest was a let down."
