"It was value for money. The hotel was a little tired but mostly clean and presentable. We very much appreciated a room upgrade but the chap that checked us in spoke in a robotic manner with little eye contact. The ladies at breakfast were friendly and helpful"

"Overall it was an enjoyable experience. however the view from the room window itself was terrible bins and rundown back of building. The sink and some tiles on floor were both cracked. It had clean bed. and I liked separate sleeping room for daughter. the restaurant was timeless classic. It had beautiful bar area and nice pool. grounds were fantastic. "

"The property is stunning. Absolutely gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Staff are all fantastic personalities and nothing is too much trouble. If had to be extremely picky - would say the bar is over priced and the pillows are too soft but nothing that effected our stay and would recommend to anyone."

"Lovey old building, very pretty courtyard and wonderful lock nearby. Bit scary fire alarm going off at 6 and 8 am . So not the best sleep. Other than that abery enjoyable stay"

"We went to horse of the year show which was 9 miles away ,we wanted a hotel away from city centre,had a lovely view of the canal , lovely staff even printed out my tickets for the show ,great buffet breakfast and not expensive "

"Comfortable room very comfortable bed shower was amazing the only downside was the mould stain on the bathroom ceiling the breakfast was amazing the staff were really helpful and friendly i will definitely stay here again thank you for a delightful stay"
