Conveniently situated and nice room with comfortable bed. Staff were lovely and really helpful. We will definitely book again as our son is at Uni in Swansea. Will be even better when the EV chargers are up and running : )

One of the greatest downsides to this hotel is the quality of the food. My fiancee checked in after me, and ordered room service (salmon) whilst I was out. Unfortunately, it wasn't great - by which I mean that she has been struck down with food poisoning and is unable to get out of the room, due to a need to keep close to the bathroom. Likewise my experience at breakfast (my fiancee was unable to face it, even if she could make it down) wasn't fantastic. Good eggs & toast, cracking bacon, but the sausage tasted, frankly, rancid. On the plus side, staff here are friendly, approachable and helpful.

Ok so there was 2 adults and two preteen children staying in the room. The ac didn’t work! The staff were absolutely great in trying to help us but ultimately couldn’t. An engineer came to the room and looked at the ac, blowing warm air and told us that the ac wouldn’t work properly as it was above the swimming pool and the ac being set at 19c’. A.. if this is the case our room should have been put on the other end of the hotel. B. I think this may have been a bit of a lie. The ac was blowing warm air. The staff gave us two fans, which helped but not massively. We woke up every morning with headaches due to the heat.

We decided to book this hotel as it looked an upgrade on a premier inn. It wasn’t ! The room bathroom was dirty, there was a rusty plug hole. We had half used toilet roll and the toilet was dirty too. The air con didn’t work and would go below 19 degrees even if it had worked. Too noisy for the window to be open as it was a Mecca for drinkers. It was like a weatherspoons down at reception. Breakfast was stone cold every day and the selection of continental was ok. Although there were no muffins on two of the days. They had no hot chocolate satchets either in the middle of the summer holidays ?? The walk to the room had bright paint and carpets but it was filthy and needed hoovering very badly. Very dissapointed. When I raised the fact rhey had taken £30 from my account they promptly came back to and said they would refund in 2-3 days and I’ve heard nothing back to any of my follow ups. Very poor ! The staff are friendly but it by no means makes up for the hotel being so run down and poorly managed.

I had a lovely stay though there were a few thing that would improve it: (1) I find the additional charge for parking and gym use cheeky given price of hotel - can this be included? (2) ensure that room is clean as I had dirty cups and (3) a summer duvet would be nice in the summer please. Further please stop using the term “green” when it comes to towels etc as it your use of it given you practices is what we call green washing. Can I ask, what products do you use to clean the rooms? Or provide in the rooms such as show gel in bathrooms etc? Or even products for coffee and tea? Are the ethical? Just some simple items in which I think the hotel could considerably improve if wanting to use the term “green” (from a climate scientist)

Deviated from our usual hotel choice due to the pool for the kids. We used it twice in 24hrs which made the stay, as did the very helpful staff. However the building was looking a little tired. Aircon wasnt great and turned itself off in the middle of the night. Didn't sleep well. Felt a little like a budget airline as in addition to the room cost we had to pay extra for parking and for the pool.

Friendly staff but IMPOSSIBLE to contact the hotel before or during the stay. Room was not well cleaned, bed linen was stained and torn, bathtub enamel was chipped leaving a large rusty hole, extractor fan did not work. Half of room service order was missing and they allowed me to buy items that weren't even available. Only way to contact the team was a web-chat that after 30 minutes had still not been answered and I gave up waiting. A disappointing experience overall.
