"Mark and his team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was all we wanted it to be. Mark is very knowledgeable about Malta and helped us with deciding on days out. We booked room 42 with its own terrace and hot tub, which insured we had fantastic views for the NYE fireworks. Complimentary bubbly in the fridge on arrival along with snacks and soft drinks. I dont think we would change a thing. Don't be put off by the location, although very close to some noisy bars, the rooms are very sound...

"Nice hotel, great location, very welcoming staff. Worth noting that some rooms only have a bath tub, no shower - and our tub had a large stain which was a bit off putting. Our towels weren’t changed at all for the first few days of our stay, and there wasn’t much room to hang them to dry - but then they were changed daily on the last couple of days of the stay so perhaps they were just overlooked on the previous days. "Sited in a convenient spot but not too close to the hullaballoo of Republic Street Mandera was an oasis of air conditioned calm in a tempest of people and heat. "We stayed a week at the Palais Le Brun - our first visit to Valletta - and cannot recommend it enough. The staff were lovely, the room spacious and welcoming and it's in a quiet location a short walk to many of the sights."

"Absolutely perfect location for a stay in Valletta. Right next to the main shopping area, minutes from all the bars and restaurants. Also just minutes from the main bus station, so great for exploring the island. Very clean and modern room which was well serviced during my stay. "Smart hotel in a great location right in the middle of Valletta. Large room and nice breakfast. Unfortunately, our room (101), was right next to the cleaners closet so we were wakened every morning. Room could have done with a comfortable chair. Also, television is restricted to a few Austrian and German channels, not even anything local. The hotel has no outside space, it would have been nice to have somewhere to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Having said all that, we really enjoyed our stay."

Very good but needs some work to update facilities

"Some elements of the stay were excellent the service use of transport and the aspect of the horel. The rooms are specious but dated and the lighting is poor in the corridors and bedrooms. Food was Ok but we did not eat in the restaurant as the themed buffet, though extensive was expensive and too much. It was not well frequented so they need to rethink. Breakfast coffe was undrinkable and tea was not as good as the offering in the bedroom. The entrertainment would be improved by lighting the artist. They were in the dark and hardly visible. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent day trip of with Mario the driver to Medina and the Tarxien temples"

The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel.

"The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel. all the staff are courteous, efficient and friendly, and they all seem happy in their work. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant is excellent. A special mention to the restaurant breakfast staff who work very hard and were very busy on Sunday, but made the time to clear a prepare a table in the conservatory. "

"We travelled to celebrate my boyfriend's big birthday. From moment we walked through the front door till moment we left, we had the most amazing experience. We had the most amazing upgrade and staff were very attentive to even the smallest detail. On birthday morning we had a surprise at breakfast and extra something in the room for later. Staff always had a good recommendation on what to do, where to go and what's worth seeing and were happy to make bookings and reservations. I don't think I ever felt this welcome and looked after in a hotel before. I think it really made our stay unforgettable."
