"We had a terrible stay at this hotel and had to leave a day early. The road way to the hotel is appalling and full of pot holes. On arrival at reception the receptionist was pleasant, we then got to our room, even before entering you were hit by the smell of damp and mould, we entered the room and straight away had to open windows because of the smell. "I don't know what to say other than I have sent my review to YHA with "top marks" for everything. From the friendly welcome received on check-in to the cleanliness of the room allocated, everything was absolutely perfect for the overnight stay. I slept very well & enjoyed the morning coffee in the café downstairs. It was all spot-on and excellent value for money. I will recommend to friends and I would like to book to stay there again. "

"Good clean Rooney,excellent breakfast and friendly owner. Probably best to avoid if you have low suspension on your car as I do though. Entrance gained by a long pot holed farm track which I "bottomed" a couple of times. Difficult to find as there is onlya small entrance sign which is only visible if you approach from one direction."
