"Great location and friendly staff. Room was mostly clean but found some hairs in the bathroom that was a little unacceptable. Attention to detail while cleaning would be my only negative feedback for this hotel."

"Fairmont has done a great job of updating/refreshing the Royal York. The lobby is beautiful. There is a beautiful bar in the centre and a lovely bar/restaurant along the side. We had a delicious lunch by the fireplace in the bar on the side. A pianist was playing the entire time we were there. The room was very fresh and clean with a nice updated look. It was very quiet and the black-out curtains worked like a charm."

"The piped- in fragrance in the entrance and in room (smells like fresh baked cookies) to be artificial and overwhelming. Some mould issues in the bathroom could be better addressed. Lovely hotel with comfortable beds and otherwise very clean."
