"Lovely night away, room was on small side and was a bit tired but very clean. Nice toiletries and a jar of sweeties was a lovely touch on the tea tray. Comfortable bed and loved the lift, old fashioned but it worked, great to have in the Hotel. Breakfast was really good as was the lovely staff. Will go back.again as it has been decorated in most places and looks so lovely outside. "

"My mum and I had a lovely stay at Ardoe! Our room was great, and we enjoyed drinks in the drawing room; the bartender was brilliant. Our meal was also fantastic, highly recommend treating yourself in their restaurant although they do also have bar meals. The only downside is that the swimming pool hosts so many lessons and also seems to attract a lot of local families, so we didn't have many opportunities to use the pool. " Staff very friendly and friendly with each other, menu very poor, food apart from lobster was very good. Dining was very expensive for what you got. Cleanliness in hotel was very good, bedroom not so, went to make a coffee only to find the kettle disgusting, the spout was even full of dried sediment. Stayed here 20 months ago and I'm afraid the hotel has gone down and the prices up. Don't think it should be classed as five star anymore. Which is a shame because it is a beautiful place."
