"A great place to stay for anywhere near to the m40 around junction 15. Stratford Upon Avon is only a 15 minute drive away and Bicester Shopping Village is around 40 mins drive away. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. We had a minor problem trying to pay for the car parking, as it was a self service machine, which didn’t quite work like, how it was explained to us. but the Reception staff were keen to help us and got it sorted out. "Room was lovely and spacious, however it didnt have a mirror or a view which was a shame as the hotels grounds are nice. The lift needs sorting, as it made me anxious everytime getting in it with its noises a slow movement. It said it could fit 7, however a sign was next to the lift saying no mors than 2 people. "We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"Easy check in, parked right outside my room. Warm, clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed including a mini fridge. Excellent pub food too, and good English breakfast in the morning. All for a very affordable price too."

"Lovely B&B. Sue is a lovely lady -very friendly and helpful. She also does a fantastic Breakfast! Our room was great - roomy and very comfortable bed. Choice of a Bath or a walk in shower in the bathroom, which was also a very good size. Will definitely stay there again, and highly reccomend it."

"Lavender Lodge is a comfortable home away from home in a wonderfully quiet and private location. Even though next to the owners house, the lodge orientated to be nicely private with barely another property in sight. It contained everything needed for a comfortable stay and the bed is big enough to party in (also good for sleeping). The two friendly spaniels peering through the window to say hello were a bonus too."

"Thank you for a comfortable and relaxing September week at this spacious and well-equipped holiday cottage set in ample private and quiet grounds. A delight to look out of the window at the horses grazing in the adjacent field. Always a pleasure to return to the cottage after outings and walks from the doorstep on local lanes, footpaths and the Stratford-Upon-Avon canal. We walked every day and never did the same walk twice. "

A fabulous hotel!

"I stayed at the hotel with 2 colleagues as we were exhibiting at the NEC. The hotel check-in was a dream, very friendly staff who absolutely made you feel welcome. The room was spotless and had everything you needed, I loved the over the bed side table, so useful. The bar staff were friendly and the food was excellent, tasty and very good value for money. The breakfast had everything you could want. The wifi was good throughout the hotel. The only thing I couldn't get to work was the air con, my room was very warm, but I was too tired to really investigate it so I opened the window. There was some road noise (I was in room 104) but it really wasn't that bad and you could not hear the aeroplanes at night. A very enjoyable stay. "
