The pool is a great place to relax and swim in the salt water pool. Every night had live music in the lobby. The location is in a perfect safe location on the Sunset Strip. "

"Had an excellent stay, I loved this hotel, it practically checked off all the boxes for me. The great location on the Strip. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean comfortable room and bed with nice fridge, microwave & big TV with many channels, all worked well. Nice newer bathroom with big 2-head shower, bright lighting. Big in-room safe. Nice desk & chair to work at, and handy power & USB ports. Housekeeping request was delivered fast. Indoor parking if needed (I didn't use, but checked it out). Beautiful pool area. The breakfast 7-10a was excellent with tasty selections, hot food that varies each day and waffles made to-order, with 2 staffers taking care of it all. Only caveats - probably 1/3 of the rooms have no real view due to buildings next door, which was fine with me, I like to darken the room to sleep into the morning. The sink & shower water took a full 2-3 minutes to turn hot, most of the time (may be a temporary issue?). And there are no onsite lunch, dinner or bar options - BUT there are plenty within walking distance, including right across the street. For the price you pay here versus the many other more 'upscale' hotels around there, it is quite the bargain, in my opinion. The many great reviews helped me to choose it. I would definitely stay there again."

"I have visited this property on occasion but never have I stayed here. In short, I really enjoyed it and would stay here again. In past reviews, some people have complained of the noise. But, I experienced the exact opposite. It was quiet and comfortable. Yes, the rooms could use some upgrading, but nothing big. The service was top notch, and the food and drinks were excellent. The rooftop lounge was fantastic. Set in a quiet neighborhood, but close to neighborhood restaurants was nice. "

" Our first stay at Sunset Marquis, but I can’t imagine staying anywhere else the next time we visit LA. Great location. Beautiful updated rooms. The vibe of the property and bar can’t be beat. We unfortunately didnt have a chance to try the restaurant, but we will next time! The staff was friendly and efficient. We had one issue with the mini fridge in the room. But Teresa in housekeeping was very helpful. The valets were super fast in getting our car every time. We will be back "
