"Quick overnight stay before morning crossing to France in tunnel. Clean and comfortable. Good bed and bathroom clean. Unusual toiletry scents - Parsley stem and purple Kale? Breakfast was standard buffet and OK. Not too busy at 8am when we visited."

"It's a large hotel, totally cashless from check-in to the bar, no cash accepted anywhere. Made a mistake with my room allocation but quickly resolved by Dave on reception who was doing the job of two people. Decor could be better and the rooms but for what I paid it was outstanding. £5 to park your vehicle overnight but overall very good. The view over the sea in the morning was very welcome."

"This hotel was excellent. The staff were delightful, everyone very friendly and very helpful. The hotel had all of the amenities you would need bar a fridge in the room as other reviews have mentioned. This wasn’t an issue for us though, they give you milk in a thermos at the bar. The room itself did look a little tired in places but it’s a 3-star hotel so that was okay with us. That being said, it was very clean and comfortable which is what matters most. I would advise check booking through the hotel website directly, they do deals and I suspect I may have gotten the room cheaper directly than through Hotels.com, rookie mistake by me but it is what it is. Overall a great hotel made even better by its staff."
