"Absolutely no allowance for early check-in. Common areas are lovely and cozy. Great and plentiful breakfast options. We had a long haul to our room lugging suitcases up and down many sets of stairs."

Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. "

"Staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The leisure facilities are fabulous and our children loved it. The roaring log fire was our favourite spot to sit and play a game or two."

"Amazing in every way possible. Room was amazing and the view was spectacular of Ullswater Lake. Thoroughly enjoyed stopping for night on our way to Glasgow. Would definitely come back again. The breakfast was so good. And the bed was way too comfy. Private footpath to the lake. "

Good choice for breakfast Communal Lounge area that has a honesty box for if you want drinks or snacks whilst in there (although we didn't use) Within walking distance to the town Lots of choice for food and drinks in the town. "Lovely place to stay for a couple of nights. Staff were very welcoming.Room was fine just a little warm so just left the widow open a little. Toilets & showers were clean. Kitchen was great. Breakfast was okay wouldve been better if the bacon / hash browns were warmer. Good for a hungry person as they give you more if you ask. Had very noisy neighbours but thats not the staffs fault just very thoughtless people that obviously thought they had the whole building to themselves."
