"Our family enjoyed our stay at the hotel. With Expedia’s VIP perk, we received 5 breakfast coupons and our room was upgraded to a larger room. Water temp was great and the removable shower head was a definite plus for our kids. Our room had the pool view so we could hear the live music from the lanai. The onsite restaurant and bar, Monkeypod, was delicious. The food and drinks were so good that we went back. Staff were all really nice. "Overall the property was good. The in house restaurant for breakfast was terrible $38 USD for a basic bland buffet. Once I saw it I knew I didn’t want to eat there and especially for that price. We stayed here 2 other times and the restaurant was under different management and you could also order À la cart. Our air conditioner was acting up the entire time also but we had 2 rooms and the other one was perfect. Overall we would stay again. "

"I just returned home from a 5-night stay at the Hilton Vacation Club, The Modern Honolulu and it was amazing! The property is clean, modern, and quiet, and the staff are very helpful. I loved that there are free daily activities, like lei making and hula classes! The hotel is about a 25-minute walk from Waikiki Beach, and a 10-minute walk from the Ala Moana Center, so it's in a good location overall. I would definitely stay here again!"
