We always stay here when in Birmingham. Great hotel, in a great location. The bar is fantastic and breakfast lovely, albeit service is a little slow. The room was really cold at night though. Thankfully they’d left a bit water bottle to use

It has an attractive modern vibe with interesting decor and pleasant surroundings. The room was quiet and comfortable. And easy walking distance to Utilta Arena. Bar prices are a bit high but to be expected with the ambience available and lots of staff available to assist. The food was first class, in reasonable portions, and swiftly served by attentive staff. Now, to the less good, we were woken by housekeeping at 8.00 am, making lots of noise outside. On a Sunday, I would suggest a later start before the rooms adjacent to occupied rooms are cleaned, maybe? The shower seemed to have a life of its own, and I found it difficult to control the hose to direct the water stream over me, not the cubicle. The most disappointing was the lift being out of order. We are both seniors in years and have health conditions, so we struggle with stairs. We had difficulty finding the hotel, and the car park was not signed, so we went to an adjacent NCP Car Park, which increased the cost of the stay. If we stayed again, we would make sure the lift was operational.

The window in our room was cracked and also felt draughty, the bed was really hard so we didn’t have a comfortable stay unfortunately. We were given 2 WiFi codes but neither worked. The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to be near to the city centre but without the noise, we stayed due to the close proximity to The Jam House. The bar area was lovely as were the staff.

Local for Jam house. Lack Room claenliness. Blood stained pillow. No pillowcases on pull out bed. Staff stated there were none avaliable. Toe nail clippings on floor. Mattress did not fit the bed. Offered pillows to fill in the gap to prevent injury. Mould in bathrooms. Easybto clean mould so no excuses for this. Lift out of order. Breakfast was shambolic. Ling wait for a coffee. Breakfast arrived lukewarm, with 1 poached egg cold, sourdough toast bread cold. Ridiculous price to park for 24hr.

The room was nice and clean the staff on the evening where polite. The down side to staying here using the car park is a rip off £21.50 for 24 hours when if you park outside the charge for overnight parking is only £12 considering you are staying at the hotel on there grounds then £10 for overnight parking would have been reasonable. Then the breakfast con they charge £10 for breakfast but when you actually arrive for breakfast it is not a full english this required an additional £5 and even then the breakfast is very poor for the price. The final issue here is that the lifts where out of order with non of the staff letting customers know this was the case. The owners need to look at changing a few things here before I ever consider staying here again. This is definitely not value for money and there are better alternatives just look around l. overnight

Saint Pauls house has a restaurant under the hotel, you cant really here anything from downstairs. Theres not a lot of food options also you will need to book a table as it might be booked up and no space till someone has finish which could be a long wait. The room is very comfy and the size of the bed was a bit small for 2 adults. you dont need to bring shampoo or body wash as they provide you with that. The lift non funtioning. I didnt have good view outside of the window. The room itself was clean. we rased the heat to 30 which meant that it was cold and kept terning off and we had to put it on again about 5 times. if your staying one night you dont get a remote which is odd. We recommend everyone to book another hotel!!

I was disappointed by my stay. The room was not particularly clean, very cold with the window open, very noisy (single glaze with many AC units outside) and very bright with fire escape light illuminating the whole room. cushions were very thick and hard making for a terrible night. 2nd floor (very high ceiling) with lift out of order. very good breakfast but apart from that, the rest is best to forget.

The aesthetic of the place is nice but compared to a lot of city hotels we have stayed in, it was overpriced for what.it offered. Room was small, bed was uncomfortable and tiny, reception staff was abrupt, lift wasn't working. In the bar the menu was overpriced for what you received and the staff were not attentive. It looks a lot nicer than what you'll actually experience

Extremely loud music from the bar audible in the room until almost midnight, at least over the weekend. Not just the bass through the walls or something, but to the point that you can shazam the songs and hear what the DJ is saying. Fine if you’re going to be out that late, but not if you expect to be able to relax in your room before midnight

Ok room was smaller than expected and very basic . Not any different from a Premier Inn etc.. Limited amount of tea bags and no coffee in the room. No sound insulation you hear everything happening in surrounding rooms and bathrooms!. Also in corridor. Breakfast is expensive for what you get . If you go for the full English and have a croissant you get charged for two breakfasts !!! Not really a boutique hotel .
