"We turned up very early at 10:30 and asked on the off-chance if we could pay to park earlier as we had to go to a dance comp at winter gardens. Not only were we able to park early but also check in at this time rather than the 10pm check in we were expecting after our dance comp. Also the parking was such good value at £7 and it’s a locked gates carpark with CCTV. The staff from start to finish were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even started breakfast earlier for us on the Sunday as we had to be back out at the competition for 8:30pm And again the service was brilliant. We will definitely be staying again. "

"We had an excellent stay at the Doric. Great value for money .. Room was clean. Some parts of the hotel are a bit dated but it was clean and thats the main thing. Bar area is lovely. Entertainment was fab for all ages would highly recommend for a family night away . "

"The hofel is beautiful. Situated on the sea front with some awesome views. The room was absolutely spotless and lovely and warm. The complimentary wine was a very nice touch. The only downside for me, personally, was the mattress was very hard and unforgiving but if you like a firm bed you'll love these. All in all a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay again. "
