"I arrived on New Years Eve, but the property hadn't warned me that the only food option was a three course meal at £44.50. Similarly on New Years Day, I went early for dinner at 6.15 to be told the kitchen closed at 6. No one had alerted me to the early closure. They did make me some Tapas. If I had known I would have eaten elsewhere before returning to hotel. The food on New Years Day was excellent, I just didn't want to spend that much money. "

"The sofa beds need looking at as they are quite uncomfortable. My son had to sleep on the floor . The mattresses on the sofa beds are very lumpy . It would be better with 2 singles beds instead of the sofa bed and more chairs . The king size beds are very comfortable. The sofa beds let’s the overall comfort of sleep down "

"This hotel was a lovely place to stay. Tucked away in a quiet location within its own grounds, yet close to the centre of Fleet. There was a warm, cosy atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. Both the bar menu and the restaurant menu were good value, nicely presented and very tasty. Our room was equipped with all the necessary supplies and the bed was very comfortable. The only slight disappointment was that we could hear snoring from the neighbouring room. However that did not disturb us...

"The Hat het is a loverly picturesque pub/ hotel. Welcome excellent, food and ambiance perfect. VFM good. The thing that let it down was cleanliness of the room- smeared bathroom mirror looked like it was cleaned with a soiled cloth ( had to clean it to see any reflection!) the toilet rim covered in hair & dust & the lamp shades & corners of the room rife with cobwebs. We did enjoy our stay however and we did report the room dissatisfaction to the young service lady but no apology or explanation...

Good access to the motorways and plenty of safe parking if you have a nice car. Take an hour to discovery the vast grounds of the hall before you leave. We will stay here again. Graham & Gaynor R"
