"Building very large and very old so the upkeep is going to be a challenge. Couldn't turn the heating down or off in the bathroom so it was nuclear hot in the room when we entered. Had to sleep with the old sash window open. Stayed in room 52 which had no lift access, massive bathroom, ceilings really high, not many power sockets for charging your electricals, TV off to the side of the bed in front of the window which made shutting curtains a challenge. You had to pay for wi-fi for each device in...

"Everything was excellent. My only concern was the very poor drive leading from Staden Lane: huge pot holes in a rough surface made this an unfriendly approach, one not appreciated by my car."

"We decided to visit Buxton during our free days in the UK. What a treat. We loved the apartment. It was perfect for our needs and in a great location. Communication with Lorainne was OUTSTANDING and she made it very easy for us. We enjoyed getting out to do a bit of hiking and then spent both of our nights enjoying the amazing food and drink at The Old Sun inn. So wonderful there and a short walk from the apartment. We would certainly visit again and stay here. Thank you for your hospitality!!!!"

"Great service, very kind and friendly check in. The rooms are simple and you have to pay for the towels, but then again- the price of accommodation definitely justifies the payment for extras. Has a bar, open until 11pm. And it is genuinely all you need for a night stay. Also offers breakfast, full english for £9.99. And it is perfectly located for the Monsal Trail and ither walks."

"Had a very enjoyable stay.The room was a little tired but was warm and inviting The only negative was the mattress which was obviously past its best as it hollowed out on one side. The dinning room was beautiful with white starched linen table cloths and serviettes . The staff were attentive and the breakfast delicious . "
