"Booked last minute for this lovely Cotswold hotel. Quietly located with good amenities around, it was worth the stay. On arrival there was a roaring open fire in the bar and a log burner on the go near reception. There is a coffee and cake shop in reception, which looked great. The bar was well stocked and comfortable and the restaurant is recommended.... the black lamb curry was particularly good. Breakfast included was great. "Our experience here at this hotel was exceptionally well. The staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly. The room was clean, tidy and quiet. Complimentary tea and coffee was readily available in the room. The location of the hotel was excellent with on site parking. We also had dinner at the hotel which was exquisite and will recommend. Overall everything was fantastic and would book again!"

"We’ve stayed here many times before and this was no different. All the staff are always so helpful and friendly. It’s only a short walk to the town, the Avon and the RSC. We love staying the original part of the property where the floors are reassuringly squeaky and wonky…it is Shakespeare country after all."

"The hotel was great with a beautiful bar and restaurant overlooking the river. Brad was so brilliant and made sure that I had an adjoining room with my family. He also arranged late check out for us and helped us organise our parking. Brad was so helpful and genuine. He didn’t tire of helping us "
