Luggage drop off before check-in and then check-in itself was seamless (we arrived early and we just followed the instructions at the front entrance to label our bags and place inside the doors, and when we came back the bags were already in our room). "I loved my stay at Hakone Airu. It was peaceful, quiet and the staff were able to speak English. The facility was very tourist friendly. I absolutely loved the private onsen and being able to dip in and out whenever we liked. The lounge space next to the private onsen is such a bonus. The bathroom and shower were very clean as well. The only slight discomfort was the fact the shower is exposed to the outside so can be very cold when you initially step in the shower during winter time. "
