"Amazing location and fantastic staff. We booked for a single night as a Christmas treat for 6 of us ranging from 9 to 84. The hotel itself is simply stunning, oozing history everywhere you look. What made the occasion so special however was the quality of service from every member of staff. From check in, to the spa through to our excellent Christmas meal nothing was too much trouble and everyone was polite and warm Our meal itself was of a very high standard. "Good overall except not enough toiletries"

"We stayed in a suite, which was spacious & nicely laid out. Decor very cosy. Bathroom was fairly new & nice tiles & rainfall shower. Only slight negative was that the shower was slow to drain - but it is a beautiful old building. "

"Spacious, clean and warm room, with integral kitchen. Comfy bed, plenty of plugs for charging etc.Tv and wi-fi worked fine. Currently no food, as restaurant being refurbished, but plenty of places nearby, and can also cook in bedroom."
