The Staff on welcoming were affable, amiable, friendly and knowledgeable. Set me up for my whole Edinburgh experience which I loved. Hotel is fresh, bright and clean. Rooms are stylish and comfortable. Great mix of restaurants and pubs nearby with the bonus of supermarkets for any forgotten or needed items.The Hotel is only a short walk from Haymarket train station and handy for areas such a The Grassmarket. Hotel reasonably priced great quality experience.

I opted for the small room with no windows as i am only there to sleep. But it was small and mo where to put my larger suitcase. Luckily i am a solo traveler so i put it on the other side of the bed.

We had a lovely stay over Christmas. We opted for the basic room without a window and although the room was quite small there was plenty of room for our needs. The hotel has a buffet continental breakfast with lots of great fresh pasties, we absolutely loved their homemade yogurt with honey and granola. The hotel is very walkable to all the sights and the staff were warm and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel for a 1 night stop over any more and and thr lack of facilities in the room and space inside become an issue no kettle no storage no real dining apart from a continental breakfast.

The hotel was super clean and updated with all modern technologies, and it was nicely furnished. It’s within walking distance to great Turkish, Italian, and Greek restaurants, all of which served delicious food. It’s also walkable to the Royal Mile, Victoria Street, Princes Street, the Scott Monument, and all the street attractions, taking no more than 15-30 minutes. It would be nice if the hotel could provide a better breakfast for guests, as the current offering is very basic, and you have to pay $13 per person. One major inconvenience was that the room had no phone to contact the front desk, which was quite frustrating. Also, keep in mind that the “cozy room” is extremely small, with a double bed smaller than standard size. We had to upgrade to a larger room to have enough space to walk around with our luggage on the floor. Overall, we had a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

Property was in a convenient location. Staff was pretty friendly. Lift was not working and I had 2 luggage’s. Had to ask for someone to assist but had to wait about 20 minutes which wasn’t ideal for those who spent a whole morning traveling. The hotel is nicely preserved but does need a bit of upgrading which can be done to historical buildings such as this one.

Very clean hotel and rooms, although they are on the smaller side. Great location, nice easy walk to anything you could want to do in Edinburgh. Maybe some rooms are different but we didnt have amenities like a microwave, fridge, hair dryer etc but the room was spotless, everything worked, smart tv connects to your phone so you can use your own streaming accounts. Coffee and breakfast in the morning was delicious if you just wanted a quick bite. For the money and location I don't think you can beat it!

The room is small so if there's 2 people with 2 big luggages, floor space would be limited. However it's very clean and quiet. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast has a nice selection of bread, oatmeal, fruits, and beverage. The location was very convenient cause it's close to alot of the main attractions. Overall would definitely stay here again.
