Forget a quick trip to this mall for a postcard. Exploring The Forum Shops at Caesars may require a day or two of your attention.
Built to resemble streets in ancient Rome, The Forum Shops at Caesars is replete with elaborate columns and arches, two central piazzas, each with its own enormous, Romanesque fountain, and assorted classical statues. A true fantasyland, even the ceiling at The Forum Shops at Caesars is painted to resemble the sky.
Unlike most malls, the details of The Forum's layout and facilities are an attraction worthy of setting some time aside to appreciate. From the spiral escalator built exclusively for The Forum Shops to a 50,000-gallon (189,270-liter) saltwater aquarium, it’s easy to wander around and window shop for hours here.
Those who’ve emptied their pockets at the casinos the night before are in luck because there’s some spectacular free entertainment here. Arrive early to get a front row seat for the Fall of Atlantis Show, next to the Cheesecake Factory. Watch a frenzy of thunderous sound, animatronics and pyrotechnics in the reenactment of the destruction of the mythical city of Atlantis.Adjacent to the Atlantis Show is the Atlantis Aquarium. Gaze at some of the more than 300 unique species of tropical fish in the 50,000-gallon saltwater aquarium.
Pry yourself away from the entertainment for some retail therapy. The Forum’s 160 stores cater to all tastes and budgets, from top-end labels like Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton and Versace, to mid-tier brands like Nike, The Gap and Guess.
If all that retail is making your stomach rumble, there are plenty of dining options, including cafés, specialty food shops and restaurants, sushi bars, upscale seafood and steak. You’ll find trendy chains where you can get everything from a high-end burger to classic Italian. And there’s no shortage of dessert options as well.
The Forum Shops are located adjacent to Caesars Palace, which is in the middle of The Strip, right next door to Bellagio. The public bus and mini-bus shuttles stop at The Forum Shops. Check with your hotel concierge for public transportation rates.
