"Location: by the sea wall. Where it is part of the walking tour, my room was room 11 has a balcony overlooking San Felipe Castle (20 mins walk from the hotel). Everything was within walking distance, 20 mins to the clock tower. Lots of dining options around the block. Airport is about 30 mins away with traffic, around 25,000 colombian peso (US$1 = 3,800 in money changer place). The area is safe as well, I travelled solo and no problems walking in the anytime. The most I was out was around 11pm....

"Beautiful hostel about a 10 minute walk away from the center of the old fortified walled city of Cartagena. This place has a nice ambiance with really friendly staff that treat you really nice. Some people might think of the area as a little scummy, but I did not have any problems and even walking home at 1am, I had some locals shout at me "welcome to Cartagena" I thought this was nice. I would recommend this hostel."

"The room was basic as expected, good air conditioning and fan, the bed had seen better days and sheets were ropey. Good shower and bathroom was clean. Nice to sit on the roof terrace and watch the sun go down. The young lady who was on reception when we arrived was nice and helpful, there was another woman who made the breakfast and monitored the door at night who was pretty miserable and not overly polite. All in all not too bad for the money and the location is great being one block behind...

"This is a charming place to stay in the heart of one of the liveliest areas of Cartagena, getsemimi . The staff are super friendly and generous , but with limited English. The room is attractive and appears to have been recently renovated, with everything in excellent condition, the cooked breakfast was great, and the whole experience outstanding value. You walk out the low wooden door into vibrant colourful noisy activity in the narrow streets, and return to quiet and comfortable environment...
