"We booked the Sheraton Grand as we were going to the Usher Hall that evening. So it was convenient for us & also had on site parking. Everything was excellent about the hotel apart from our check in. Our room was advertised as available from 3pm & we were not able to get into our room as it was not ready for us until 4.20pm. The check in receptionist showed us into the VIP lounge & left us there, it was approx 15 minutes before any of the staff in the lounge asked us if we would like a refreshment. Eventually at 4.15pm I went back to reception & ask if our room was ready & it was. I do wonder how long our room was available & how long the receptionist would have taken to come & let us know the room was now ready for us. That small blip was the only downside we experienced at the Sheraton, everything else was excellent. I would book again if going to Edinburgh."

"I stayed here two nights with my friend and we really liked the room. It was cute and clean and the staff was kind and helpful even when we needed help with a few things. It is an older place so everything wasn't brand new (I've seen a few reviews about it being old and gross) but my room was lovely and I had no problems with the condition or cleanliness of anything. Breakfast was ok, it was nice it was cooked to order but it took a while but they had a few options if you were in a rush. I would stay here again "
