"We had a great stay at Hotel Herculaneum overall! The hotel and its facilities were clean and well-kept. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. It even had a lovely balcony overlooking the street! It was tidied up daily and washcloths and bathmats were replaced daily (there is no Do Not Disturb sign - which we didn’t mind). There was a slight drainage issue in our shower on our first night (which caused a little flooding) but the issue seemed to have been fixed by the time we returned...

"The hotel itself is lovely. The staff were very welcoming, the room was great and the restaurant was really nice too. It has lovely gardens to sit out in and enjoy a bit of sunshine. It's about 15 min walk to the train station and harbour where there are a few nice little restaurants too. "I didn't stay ! After arriving and having the owner yelling at me and then yelling at Hotels.com rep. And feeling very unsafe, threatened, scared and locked in!! I left in absolute Tears. Communication and cleanness is wonderful inside the apartment and in the rooms with clean towels and beds made. Bathroom is cleaned everyday.
