Kaanapali Hotel Guide - Beach Hotels in Kaanapali, Hawaii

"Recently retired couple just returned from 9 days at Aston at The Whaler in mid February. Loved it. We had a one bedroom studio which was nice as we made breakfast and a couple of dinners at the unit. BBQ units at both buildings are new and really nice. We booked through Expedia and recd a recently upgraded unit and it was really nice. Property is exceptionally well maintained and staff were really nice and helpful top to bottom. Free laundry on each floor which we used one time during our stay. Location on Kaanapali beach right next to Whalers Village is perfect - tons of dining and cocktail options and many shops if you go to Hawaii and forget to pack a bathing suit (I’ll be hearing about that forever, oops). Underground parking is really handy and overflow parking is avail right next door if underground gets full - didn’t happen to us but got close a couple times. We really liked the Whaler and plan to book it again next year at same time. Whole activity is awesome at that time. We go everywhere in the Caribbean but Hawaii is a notch above Carib in our opinion. Looong flight from East Coast US but worth the effort."

"This is my 4th stay at the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa. I can’t say enough about it. I always ask to stay in the Moana section. It’s the most secluded section of the resort. This section has the most amazing views of the ocean. If you are coming for whale watching season, you can just sit on your balcony and watch in the morning and evening to see them. The rooms were furnished nicely and very clean. This resort is walking distance to Whaler’s village for some great dining. Or it’s a very short drive to Lahaina for dinner at many of the restaurants that have recovered since the fire. If you play golf, you have many choices near the resort. I’ve stayed at two other Ka’anapali resorts, but they do not compare to the Sheraton. You will love it!"

"Lady Ann greeted us warmly and gave us the room we wanted with a fantastic ocean view overlooking the beach. She checked to see how our stay was going and see if we needed anything. We have stayed here on three separate times of year. We like the quiet beach with less people which is just steps outside. We have had turtles swimming here every time and even swam between us. What an experience! We watched whales from our linai, pool area, and beach. We are already planning our next visit. "
