"The resort overall was great. Food was solid and drinks were good. Multiple pools to go to and never had to get up early to get loungers at any of them. The beach is nice but the water does not get deep so you can’t actually swim in it which was disappointing. We were a group of 6 and never had an issue getting a table together for any of our meals. "Staying at Casa don luis was an absolute sensory pleasure. It was like an oasis with lush greens and trickling water fountain next to the gorgeous blue waters of Marina Cap Cana. "We arrived the same time as 2 tour busses that were from a cancelled flight. The place was slammed. But the Staff truly were amazing at Checkin. Hard working and doing all they could do. Something I didnt see for 5 days prior at a different hotel. I didnt use the amenities as I was just there for 12 hours for a delayed flight. But was shocked when leaving couldnt get a bottle of water unless I paid at the coffee shop."

"Fantastic hotel; we chose a Front Ocean room and it was the best decision ever. The view was second to none. All the staff was great, and the hotel's installations were fantastic. The hotel has an incredible gym (better than many commercial gyms!) with tons of classes throughout the day too. All the restaurants were delicious, except for the Indian, which was not good at all. I'd suggest maybe swapping the Indian cuisine for a Mexican. It is a bit annoying that there is a restaurant (The blind butcher) not included in the stay. Considering the price of the rooms, it would be good to see free access to this restaurant once per stay. Having said that, we went and we loved it. The Peruvian restaurant was our favourite with delicious and fresh food all day. Cocktails in all the hotel bars were amazing; there are some seriously good mixologists in this hotel. However, my only negative comment will be entertainment: The hotel was boring, as there was very little organised and everyone seemed to go to bed at 10:30 pm. It needs to be noted that although Zilara is the Adults-only hotel, there are spaces (such as the sports bar) which are shared with the Ziva and kids are allowed. The spa was good, but it was overly expensive and we felt rushed during the hydrotherapy circuit. We also went to the waterpark which is part of the hotel, and it was so much fun! Go right when it opens so the number of kids is limited. This hotel is worth going once - only based on the food and installations"
