"Feels very upmarket from the entrance all the way to the room. The Japanese room I stayed in felt extremely large; like a 5-star hotel in Tokyo. "Thank you Nikko Hoshinoyado- we had a wonderful Japanese experience in Nikko and at the hotel. We are sorry we don’t speak Japanese, and that made little things challenging a bit. We wish we knew that for a best experience we should have booked dinner at the hotel because we did not find a single suitable place to eat within walking distance of the hotel (October 18, 2024). "A lovely little spot, next to the river. You can hear the river lightly in the background from my room, which made it lovely to fall asleep to. A very friendly, warm welcome. The rooms come with half board, so a very special dinner and breakfast filled with Japanese delicacies.
