"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Park gate ideally positioned in the centre gives you many places to dine or drink. If there was one minus it was the hot food side of the breakfast.The plates were cold and the food in the tureens were left to become empty before refilling. The sausages seemed to have been cooked hours earlier, the rest was equally cold just not good enough for that standard of hotel."

"We stayed for one night with the kids. The pool was great and staff fantastic. The breakfast buffet was quite good. We are at The Grill - the food was mediocre and quite expensive for what is quite basic food. The staff were absolutely fantastic though. You have to pay for parking but we parked in the outside car park which I think is a little cheaper but it would add up if you were staying for a few nights. "

I arrived before check in, but there was no problem leaving my case and rucksack there while I explored the castle area of Cardiff. When I returned, several hours later, my luggage had already been taken up to my room. "This is quite an old establishment, probably a former coaching inn. As such, it is a little old-fashioned, in need of some modernisation, but I feel that this is reflected in the price, which was very good value and included a very nice breakfast."
