"The staff were very friendly and the room very comfortable. We knew the restaurant was closed for the season but it would have been nice to have the lounge open for after dinner (elsewhere). We sat and red books in our room for the evening. We thought we could have the fireplace on but eventually figured it was affiliated with the thermostat. It was a real treat to wake up through the night with a fire in the grate. Lovely!!"
