"Nice hotel, clearly geared towards weddings. We are in the restaurant on a Saturday night whilst the wedding party was in full flow at the other side of the hotel. The food was really good and they accommodated our dietary requirements without a problem. All told it was a great stop over in our trip around the Chester area, recommended."

"Bathrooms are badly designed. Red hot towel rail right in front of toilet, burned my arm when turning from toilet to sink as bathrooms are very small. Beds are amazingly comfortable. Reception staff on saturday afternoon into night were fabulous. DOGS IN RESTAURANT should not be allowed, not everyone likes dog everywhere! Especially in this quality of hotel."

"We loved the location and the rooms,we had a room overlooking the River Dee. The room looked to be clean on anrrival but around the edges was full of dust and the bathroom again just needed that little extra touch. Check in was easy and friendly. Bonus was free parking. Just unfortunate the restaurant was closed (we did know about this) Overall we would stay again."

On so many occasions nowadays, the hospitality industry is let down by poor staff with poor customer service skills. This place sets the standards for all hotels. "Stayed in appointment 1 and it was spotless ,spacious & very homely with everything we needed - only regret was we should of booked for longer - tried adding another night but was fully booked, will definitely stay there again in the future, if i had to find 1 commitment i would recommend mold & mildew remover in the shower as very mouldy other than that it’s 99 from us "
