Independent hotels in Oxford, England

"The hotel is in a great city centre location, within easy walking distance of the main tourist sights. However, this also had a disadvantage if you are a light sleeper, as there were large groups of people talking outside until about 2am (I assumed from people outside pubs / clubs) that could be heard even on the 3rd floor. "An exception place to stay. Easy access to tow n. Rooms cannot be faulted. Teception staff very helpful."

"The buses TO city are from side near hotel street and not opposite side. Always say "to the city" so if you get on the wrong bus you won't have a 2 hour mistake. Toiletries were in shower and that was good. Perfect for short stays."

"We only spent 1 night here. The room was comfortable, adequate space. Bathroom was nice but only body wash; no shampoo/conditioner. Registration form to fill out at check-in that we didn't encounter at other places we stayed at. About a 15 minute walk from downtown Oxford."

"Really enjoyed our stay. Unusual rooms which we really liked. Bed was very comfy. Only criticism, if it is one, is the mood lighting was very affective but could do with brighter light for getting ready. Hope to come back soon"
