"15 min drive to the old city. But Uber is very cheap here. You are in the financial district but this hotel great food and the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We ate at la compania and it was ok for being a luxury hotel and the staff at the luxury hotel very rude. "We were in the heart of everything. Safe environment, friendly and respectful staff at the hotel and the people we encountered on the streets were so polite and friendly as well. The only thing that could make a difference there to get a 5 star is if they fix the noise the elevators make. Anywhere you are whether first, second or third floor you will get annoyed. I felt sorry for the guests who stayed in the rooms close to the elevators moreso. 24 hr noise because people are constantly using...

"This is one of my favorite places to stay so far. I like to stay in the Cabanas because it opens up to the beautiful pool, bar, and dining areas. Its great to stay in the cabanas if you have kids so you can have direct access to the pool. I've stayed in the large 5 star hotels but prefer the more intimate setting at the Hotel El Panama. The free breakfast is subpar but the hotel is located in walking distance of good eateries!"
