"The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. Room was a bit on the cold side better than too warm. Breakfast was okay but I’ve had better. Location is good easy access to town centre if your catching a train you need to allow 30 mins from checking out of the hotel to been on the platform which is a leisurely walk for an able bodied person. It’s a 10 minute walk to local auction. Staff were helpful without been over the top."

"Our room was beautiful. It had a king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was a good size. The only downside was that the toilet flush handle was broken but still worked. It could have done with better lighting in the bathroom as you couldn’t see in the mirror very well. The room was immaculately clean and had a sofa and tv with easy to connect to WiFi. Personally I struggled with comfort of the bed as I found it too soft but it was dressed with clean sheets and had extra pillows in the wardrobe....

"I think its my 3rd visit to the Windmill The floorboards are creaky, the phone signal is really awful. (But that does have a positive, no disturbances) Its a lovely little place to stay! The staff are fantastic. It's spotlessly clean. The restaurant is great, too much choice and very, very tasty. Although it's right on the A19 its peacefully quiet. A cracking little place that's quirky and does exactly what is says on the tin. Cheap n cheerful 😊 "
