"This is my second stay there. One thing that need to be improved is renovation as hotel is very old. House keeping does not fill room with coffees, teas when it's run out. Restaurant serves breakfast at 7 but staff does not come until 7:40. No beach towels even though hotel is closer to the beach. Those things need some improvement but other than that the area around hotel is nice, the old charm of the hotel is beautiful. "Daniela was a fantastic and welcoming host. This historic, well appointed hotel will be a favorite memory and repeat visit. The food was delicious. The coffee and beds were some of the best I've had in Africa. Daniela and I had a great conversations and she arranged a prison island tour for us. It was my second trip to Stone Town and second tour. Last time it wasn't bad but this time it was a better experience. The pilot and your guide this time were far superior to the last prison island...

"Beautiful heritage hotel in the center of Stone Town, close to many attractions. Room was super large and carefully decorated with local artifacts and furniture. I loved the breakfast on the rooftop with a 365 degree view of the city!
