"Rooms shabby in parts. Bathroom very dated. We were celebrating an anniversary and special birthday but all we had was writing on a mirror. This was a disappointment. I also thought I left my watch in the room after checkout. I called to find out. Never heard back from them. They could have at least phoned to say they hadn’t located it. Breakfast felt rushed and was buffet whereas before it was al la carte. Don’t feel it’s 5 stars. It so could be with more attention to detail "

"fleeting visit to cardiff, and booked this hotel. not heard of before. but impressed rooms that we had were massive, comfortable. and cannot fault for price we paid. definitely will use again when in cardiff again. easy walk to mermaid bay and the lovely eateries there and the beautiful theatre. did not grab food in hotel as previous things booked elsewhere . but looked good from what i saw. thank you "

"We had a lovely 3 night stay. Our room was a wow to look at but not overly practical. The bathroom could do with a shelf to put our toiletries on. (instead we had to use the top of the loo) A light fitting above the large mirror was present but we couldn't see how it worked. If at all. A good powerful hairdryer, but the plug socket was too far away to sit at the dressing table. The room was clean, but attention to details were a little lacking. Thick dust on the bathroom extractor, dust on plug...
