"We used this flat as a "hub" for day trips to different locations including St. Andrews, Stirling Castle, the Rosslyn Chapel. We also explored Edinburgh for a couple days and found the drive to be fairly quick and easy. As Americans, we didn't know the 2nd floor is actually the 3rd floor (there is a "ground" floor before the 1st floor). That was a bit of a surprise but turned out to be a blessing because the view was much better than it would have been if we had been on a lower floor."
