"The room was beautiful. One of the reasons we chose to upgrade was for the roll top bath but the bathroom was really cold. The whole room was pretty cold but the bathroom floor was very cold. We were due to get robes and slippers but only had 1 pair so had to share. Im assuming it's cold due to the windows being old with them wanting to keep with the traditional feel but you shouldn't feel too cold to get changed when you're staying in a nice hotel. "We met the grandparents here. They drove but we did it by train. You could easily do York without a car if you stayed here. We walked everywhere including from the train station. I liked how close it was to the wall but it was a quiet location."
