"The pub for dinner was lovely and the food portions were good. Hotel room was comfortable, pillows were a little tired. Very good power shower and a decent hairdryer. Good selection at breakfast and very tasty"

"Impressive building with a feeling of class and sophistication. Staff friendly and helpful. Gym is good for a hotel facility. We picked a garden view room which was worth it as the view was fantastic to wake up to. Nice bar and (depending on which time of year you go) ‘Thors tipi’ located in the grounds, gave a lovely Xmas vibe. Came a few years ago and the hotel has benefited massively from the refurb. Right next to the train station. Parking onsite "

"Great hotel, easy check in and very helpful with booking in my car. Service in bar & resturant was a little.alow, but it was busy but on the.flip.side food was worth waiting for as fabulous. Room.clean and warm."

"The staff were great. The bed was small and not very comfy. The duvet was soo thin that if the heating hadn’t been on we would have been cold."

"Free parking with plenty of space. Good location. Friendly welcoming staff. Nice bedroom with good shelving and wardrobe space and it was warm and cosy. Only negative point was the bathroom which was tiny. Hardly room to turn round or dry yourself. Overall I would recommend the hotel but have to grade it good rather than excellent. "

"Middlethorpe Hall is a beautiful property. The staff there are exceptionally lovely and we were made to feel so welcome. There was so much character and original features which feels like the antithesis to other bland hotels."
