"Just a few days away to visit a friend and have stayed in a Hampton once before. Decent breakfast and friendly staff plus close to the harbour and town centre. "

"Two rooms booked and were different ends of hotel - one had sea view- one poor disappointing view. Rooms were good size and clean but very cold as radiators hardly came on. We were on fifth floor and water took a while to come through warm. Queue for reception as only one person on Limited bar choice but a good breakfast and staff were pleasant in all areas"

"Very good stay in a comfortable hotel. Service was great. Couple of things - I felt the dinner menu could be a little more extensive, the check out time of 10 am is a little early. But generally a great stay. Ps I should have mentioned this at check out but the sink plug in room 102 sticks closed 😎"

"The food was outstanding. We are in the bar area and the staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious and a lot of choice. The evening entertainment was brilliant. The shower was terrible. We only stayed one night as we were attending a funeral so only used it once and we were in a hurry. At checkout, I mentioned that the shower needed attention as the water was barely flowing and that it was either scalding hot or ice cold. My cousin had ended up washing her hair in the sink. The...

"A great hotel to stay to break out travelling up. Staff accommodated our late arrival. Breakfast was good, bed was comfy, staff were friendly. My only jiggle was that our room was cold when we arrived at 11:30pm and was cold through the night. "

"Hotel was well decorated in the main areas - looking fairly newly redone. The service was good. The only issue is the quality of the breakfast buffet is terrible - i mean really terrible. We arrived at breakfast around 9.30 - the eggs were like rubber, sausages the cheapest you can buy, bacon like rubber, instant coffee only. The toast was the highlight, which speaks volumes. Otherwise a great stay."
