"We have stayed at The Juniper numerous times and understand its early 50s history as the Timberline Hotel situated on much earlier traditional gathering lands on the sunny side of the valley, so it's not modern accommodation. But that is part of its charm. The in-house Bistro is a convenient and welcoming spot to enjoy the dramatic view of Mt. "Older resort with a lot of rustic charm. Real wood burning fireplaces, as many other resorts in the area had only gas fireplaces. Beautiful location just outside the town of Banff. Clean and quiet. Could use some regular maintenance type work in the rooms and pool/hot tubs. But all around comfortable and relaxing stay, that was affordable. The staff we met were all very polite, friendly, and helpful. "
