"The piped- in fragrance in the entrance and in room (smells like fresh baked cookies) to be artificial and overwhelming. Some mould issues in the bathroom could be better addressed. Lovely hotel with comfortable beds and otherwise very clean."

"The service of the front desk staff - Ravin was exceptional. He handled our requests with patience and very accomodated to our specific needs. We were extremely delighted that our room was ready much earlier than the regular check in time. The room is clean and has a nice view to the courtyard. The one thing that's negative was there are only 2 elevators in our building and one was broken. So the wait was a bit longer. Overall, we're very happy and this is our 3rd year staying at the resort."

"Fairmont has done a great job of updating/refreshing the Royal York. The lobby is beautiful. There is a beautiful bar in the centre and a lovely bar/restaurant along the side. We had a delicious lunch by the fireplace in the bar on the side. A pianist was playing the entire time we were there. The room was very fresh and clean with a nice updated look. It was very quiet and the black-out curtains worked like a charm."
