"I booked this late break, as my husband is recovering from a heart attack over Xmas and new year. It looked and read as wonderful so I went ahead and booked. When we arrived we were told it was the Gate House we were in! Unfortunately this house was caught in a Time Warp! Definitely not worth the money I paid. Very tired and dated, furniture and furnishings faded, ripped and very badly in need of a complete refurbishment "

"Falkland is a beautiful Scottish village. The hotel is on the main street. There are a few coffee shops nearby. There is a great deli next to the hotel & the lady who runs it was so accommodating. "Our room was clean and comfortable with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Location is brilliant - about a 20 metre walk and you’re on the Old Course!! Parking was easy and free nearby. Be aware that, quite typically of St Andrew’s, there is no lift so make sure you’re up to climbing stairs and also getting your luggage up and down yourself! Staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent. Definitely recommend!!"
