"This is a beautiful hotel. It's in the middle of the desert, so that's all there is."

"The Monte Vista is a very interesting historic hotel. The rooms, though, are a little worn around the edges and could use a little updating. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. The carpet was worn, and the room was cold. The heater didn’t work very good. But it was still super fun to stay there because of the location. There is a very fun, lively bar on the first level called The Rendezvous. There are also other fun bars/restaurants in the immediate vicinity. It is a great location!"

"On Route 66! Room was a typical hotel room. Comfy bed. Water pressure wasn’t great. The guest in the room next to me was outside smoking and coughing half the night. Cigarette smoke came through heating unit. Otherwise, the staff made the overall stay excellent. Friendly, polite and informative. "

"We really liked the service provided by Jenny our server at Woodlands for breakfast. She was pleasant, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Thank you Jenny we appreciate it. The only problem we had was a clogged toilet that we had called front desk around 530 and 3 hours later when we returned to our room it was not fixed. We had to use the restrooms in the lobby and call front desk again and it was finally fixed at 945pm"
