"Love the location! Disliked the elevator not working and the we were on the 4th floor…. Luggage was a nightmare. Our room had one toilet paper roll and no one to call for more, they charge for towels to be switched out. Was not that impressed with Rimfire. "

"Overall, a very nice room and property. We had a couple problems with electronic key access (to our room and to the front door). While inconvenient, staff always addressed the problems quickly. Make sure you read the check-in instructions and look over maps so you know where to check, etc. Overall, very nice...we will be back and stay in the Highland House."

"Check-in went smoothly. The property manager answered us promptly and addressed all concerns. The cabin is small but beautiful. The appliances worked very well. The solar/propane systems worked seamlessly. A great wood stove, with much seasoned firewood cut to fit. The “neighborhood”? Quiet, safe, with the Allegheny Trail and Greenbriar River, and the town of Marlinton nearby for necessities. But a very dusty road.
