"Spent two nights but honestly wished it was longer. The room was so cool, comfortable, with tons of little unique touches that really made it feel like a home. Great decor, comfortable bed, nice Bluetooth speaker and even a record player. "Wonderful location right off the Royal Mile. Our apartment was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet, even though we were in a busy area and there was construction going on towards the back of the building. More than enough space for our family to stretch out and relax after long days of touring the city! Linens provided were ample and clean, bath products were available in the bathrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. We would absolutely book again!"

Very happy with our stay

"The room was lovely. Well appointed and spacious. I did find it a bit cold bit we turned the radiators up and chucked on the extra duvet from the wardrobe. The only downside was that i never received an email that was apparently sent regarding check in times etc. Unfortunately we then weren't aware that we needed to arrive before 10pm. Thankfully we called the hotel en route to check because the journey was a long one and we had been held up and a member of staff kindly stayed behind to check us in when we got there at 10.30pm. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice and the lady serving at breakfast was lovely. "

"We had a one night stay at Craigielaw. Thouroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious well equiped and spotless. We only had one breakfast, so cant comment on the dinner service, but we were very satisfied and would have no hesitation in recommending Craigielaw."

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, great meal

"Booked this hotel as it was close to family we were visiting on a last minute trip. Ample parking on arrival and a very friendly helpful young gentleman at reception, he knew the answer to any questions we had and was so knowledgeable - a real credit to the hotel. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant even though we hadn’t booked and it was no problem at all, there was a small menu and only one vegetarian option but it was really lovely, one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time and a great price too. The room itself was very small for a double, any more than 1 night in it would have been a squeeze. The room was also a bit dated and in need of repair but clean enough and the bed was very comfortable, next time we will try and book a larger room so we have space for our bags. Breakfast was included which was a bonus, nothing fancy but it filled a hole, cereals or a full Scottish on offer. We will be back soon I am sure! "

Great place to stay

"Brand new rooms. Close to city center. Plenty of safe, free parking across the street at the school lot. Slight confusion with rooms at check in, but they figured it out. Rooms are small, but more than enough for a night or two. Shower was fantastic! There is a central older house, and the two wings with new rooms. There was construction going on, but not a big deal to us. "
