"Opulent and beautiful but yes dated. Doorman was slightly rude upon my arrival as if I didn't belong at the Ritz or something. But the service was outstanding and everyone was kind. There was an old smell in the hallways and stains on the rug. We would stay at a newer establishment next time."

"9 Hertford street is a real home away from home. Hugely spacious for London at a very reasonable price. The staff are friendly and welcoming and were on hand for local knowledge or any issues with the apartment. When we arrived they'd put the electric fire in and all the lamps to make it feel warm and homely. The apartment is very cosy with good quality mattress, linens and sofa along with book cases and pictures making it feel like a proper home. It's not the most contemporary or luxury...
