"Not quite sure it meets 5 star standard. Room space is lovely, plush and beds super comfy. Bathroom quite basic but shampoo etc provided. Spa ok but could with refurb now as facilities dated. One if the steam rooms out of order. Large glass door smashed and awaiting repair. Loungers by pool were soggy and stank. Lifts up to the spa all out of order Breakfast was the highlight. Ok hotel but nothing special. "

The room was very comfortable with all as you would expect. Mini bar, tea making, coffee pod machine etc Complimentary Salcombe gin and tonic on arrival plus ice delivered each night was great. The staff were excellent and helpful. A great Spa and pool. High standards set by friendly staff"

"Room was small but very tidy, it had everything we needed. Bed wasn’t the comfiest but ok for one night. The view was amazing, high over other houses the countryside stretched for miles. Don’t book if you don’t like heights. Unfortunately there was something making a noise all night (heating, A/C, water) I don’t know what but it sounded like a heart beat all night long and kept me awake. Check in was super easy, the bar/ restaurant was clean and friendly. The breakfast was really good the staff...

Very evident that the owners have spent a considerable sum upgrading the hotel, in areas its modern clean and finished to a lovely standard.
